Mr. Wilbert C. Rowell, age 79, of Douglas, GA died peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Coffee Regional Medical Center with his two daughters and sister by his side. Mr. Rowell was born on April 18, 1937, in Nicholls, GA to the late Bartow Rowell and Ava Lee Mathis Rowell.
Survivors include: his two daughters, Margaret (Robert) Lilly of Conyers, GA and Janis (Gene) Farris of Milledgeville, GA; son, Chris (Meg) Campbell of Douglas, GA; two sisters, Evelyn Thigpen of Pearson, GA and Laveen (Ronnie) Lee of Alma, GA; three grandsons, Lee Merritt, Cory Merritt and Dewayne Story, two great grandchildren, Sierra Leigh Mariah Story and Carson Lee Merritt; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other family whom he loved very much.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
