Mr. Eugene Wilkerson, age 81, of Willacoochee passed away Tuesday morning, at his residence, following an extended illness. He was born April 29, 1935 to the late George Wilkerson and the late Ora Adams Wilkerson.

Mr. Wilkerson, a native of Coffee County, served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. He was also a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served an honorable full-time mission in the Texas Mission as well as other callings within the church. He was a prominent farmer in the Hebron Community. Mr. Wilkerson also enjoyed spending time with his family and serving the Lord.

Survivors include, His Wife, Nancy Diann Mobley Wilkerson of Willacoochee, GA; 3 Sons, Ricki (Ame) Wilkerson of Willacoochee, GA; Michael (Marie) Wilkerson of Waycross, GA and Neil (Kimberly) Wilkerson of Statesboro, GA; 2 Daughters, Renee (James) Elliott of Willacoochee, GA and Leah (Cliff) Knowlton of Douglas, GA; 8 Grandchildren: Brandon, Payton, Kaylen, Emma, Logan, Addison, Eli, and Paige and Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Other Relatives.

Funeral Services will be Thursday morning, May 12, 2016, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with the Interment to follow in the Utah Cemetery in Atkinson County. The family will begin receiving friends Wednesday evening, from 6:00 to 9:00 P. M., at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements.
