James Wilson McCallum, age 88, of Broxton, GA passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016. Mr. McCallum was born on June 28, 1927, in Broxton, Georgia to the late John Wilson McCallum and Laura Belle Cavender McCallum.
Survivors include: Wife, Dorothy Morris McCallum of Ambrose, GA; Son, Jimmy (Tammie) McCallum of Ambrose, GA; Daughter, Joy Livesey of Raleigh, NC; Daughter, Claire (Andy) Quinn of Baxley, GA; Daughter, Laurie (Roger) Sutton of Kingsland,, GA; Grandson, Nicholas Quinn of Baxley, GA; Grandson, Cavender Sutton of Kingsland, GA; Grandson, James Quinn of Baxley, GA; Grandson, Jason McCallum of Ambrose, GA; Granddaughter, Caroline Sutton of Kingsland, GA; Granddaughter, Kathryn Livesey of Raleigh, NC; Granddaughter, Stephine Livesey of Releigh, NC , ; Granddaughter, Erin McCallum of Ambrose, GA;
Member of Broxton Baptist Church; Past Chairman of Board of Deacons and Deacon of Broxton Baptist Church, Former Member of Coffee County Board of Education; Former president of Coffee County Farm Bureau, a member of the Cattlemen’s Association and A private pilot who enjoyed flying.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 6:00 Pm-9:00 Pm at Sims Funeral Home.
Mr. McCallum will Lie-in-State at Broxton Baptist Church on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 2:30 Pm until the funeral hour at 3:30 PM
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 3:30 PM at the Broxton Baptist Church with Rev. Freddie Gardner officiating. Interment to follow at DeBerry Baptist Church Cemetery.
