Wiregrass Technical College will be accepting new student applications for Fall Semester on Free Application Day, June 23.  Any new student who applies in person on this day will have the application fee waived.  Free Application Day will be held on the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus, Coffee Campus, Cook County WDC Campus, Moody AFB Extended Campus, and the Valdosta Campus from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Fall Semester classes begin on August 22.

Students interested in taking classes during Fall Semester should apply in person that day and complete an application for admissions, and apply for financial aid if needed.  New student advising and registration will begin on July 10 and last until August 23 for all new students who have been accepted for admission.

Wiregrass is excited to be able to offer 28 programs that qualify for the Strategic Industries Workforce Development Grant.  Students who are eligible to receive the HOPE Grant could be eligible for this additional financial assistance.  This could help students cover any extra cost for tuition, fees, or books.  Some of the programs on this list include: Commercial Truck Driving, Early Childhood Care/Education, Surgical Technology, and Welding.  Recently added programs include Industrial Maintenance, Machine Tool, and Telecommunications. For a complete list of programs offered, visit wiregrass.edu.

For information on Fall Semester or Free Application Day, visit www.wiregrass.edu or call 229-333-2100.
