Mr. James Earl Strickland, age 75, of Douglas passed away Saturday morning, June 11, 2016, at the Shady Acres Health & Rehabilitation Center, following an extended illness. He was born February 12, 1941 to the late Carlton Edward Strickland and the late Sarah Jane Kight Strickland. Mr. Strickland, a native of Waycross, Ga., worked as a Sewing Machine Mechanic with Spectrum Industries for many years until it closed. At that time he was a Truck Driver for some few years. Mr. Strickland was a Baptist by Faith.
Survivors include, His Wife, Rena Harris Strickland of Douglas, Ga., 2 Sons, Tony Earl (Tami) Strickland, and James Reggie (Kandi) Strickland, all of Douglas, Ga., 2 Brothers, Bobby Strickland, and Earl Strickland, both of Douglas, Ga., 2 Sisters, Carolyn Lott of Douglas, Ga., and Angelee Tanner of Jacksonville, Florida, 3 Grandchildren, Darian Lee Patton, Madison Lee Strickland, and James Michael Strickland, all of Douglas, Ga., Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Other Relatives.
