A Broxton man was jailed earlier this week following a multi-agency investigation that led authorities to the discovery of around 400 marijuana plants and the drug Ecstasy.

Around 3 p.m. Thursday, June 9, the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office and the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit requested assistance from the Georgia Governor’s Task Force Drug Suppression Team to conduct aerial surveillance over areas in the county suspected to be involved in growing marijuana.

As a result of their coordinated efforts, approximately 400 marijuana plants were discovered at a residence in Broxton. Authorities secured a search warrant for the residence of 37-year-old Jason Lott at 1370 Arlee Solomon Rd. Hundreds of marijuana seeds, processed marijuana, a quantity of Ecstasy, and several firearms were discovered inside the residence.

Lott  was not home at that time, but turned himself in to Coffee County authorities the following Monday.  He faces charges of manufacturing marijuana and possession of Ecstasy (MDMA), a scheduled I controlled substance.
