Angela Adams, age 60, of Montgomery, AL passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Jackson Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Adams was born on July 31, 1955, in Norfolk, VA to the late Sterling Van Horn and Statha Sawyer Van Horn.
Survivors include: her husband, Peter John Adams of Nicholls, GA; daughter, Melissa Adams Rowell of Nicholls, GA; two sons, Matthew Adams of Nicholls, GA and Mark (Kelsey) Adams of Nicholls, GA; two brothers, Buddy Van Horn of Greenville, NC and Gregory Van Horn of Elizabeth City, NC; sister, Connie Ballance of Elizabeth City, NC; four grandchildren, Sawyer Rowell, Ava Grace Rowell, Dawson Adams, and Madison Adams; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Brandon Burnam officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery.
