Nora Music, age 85, of Hazlehurst, GA formerly of Douglas, GA passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Jeff Davis Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Music was born on December 21, 1930, in Douglas, GA to the late Quincey Purvis and Louise Taylor Purvis.

Survivors include: her daughter, Nora Davis of Hazlehurst, GA; three sons, Ronald Music of Willacoochee, GA, Donald Music of Jasper, FL, and Sammy Music of Douglas, GA; two brothers, Clyde Purvis of Douglas, GA and Easton Purvis of California; sister, Olie Purvis of Douglas, GA; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Music; parents, Quincey and Louise Taylor Purvis; brother, Owen Purvis; and two sisters, Betty Boatright and Gracie Steptoe.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. David Bowen officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
