Alma police reported Monday night the remaining suspect in a murder that took place earlier this month has been arrested and is now in custody.

Just after 9 a.m. Monday morning, June 27, 21-year-old Keitric McCaskey was arrested by the Jesup Police Department after officers conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Hwy 84 S. and located McCaskey in the vehicle.

McCaskey is one of three suspects charged with the murder of 30-year-old Tony Overstreet, Jr., all of whom are currently incarcerated.

The Alma Police Department acknowledged its appreciation to all of the agencies which assisted APD and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation – Douglas Regional Office with this investigation:  Bacon County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia State Patrol, Long County Sheriff’s Office, GBI – Kingsland Regional Office, Jesup Police Department, Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Department of Community Supervision, Ware County Sheriff’s Office, and Waycross Police Department.

Although all of the suspects have been arrested, authorities state the investigation is still active.  Anyone with knowledge of the events of Overstreet’s murder, before and / or after, is encouraged to contact the APD or GBI.
