Mrs. Elizabeth Suggs Oxford, age 84, of Waycross passed away Saturday evening, July 9, 2016, at the Baptist Village, following an extended illness. She was born April 17, 1932 to the late Lewis Edward “Chirp” Suggs and the late Melia Polly Williams Suggs Mrs. Oxford, a native of Millen, Georgia, was a former Child Care Provider. She was preceded in death by 5 Siblings Mrs. Oxford was a member of the Sand Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include 2 Daughters: Shiryl (Danny) Lewis of Easley, South Carolina. Janice Willis of Columbus, Ga.; 1 Sister: Maybell Wiggins of Millen, Ga.; 1 Brother: Lewis Edward Suggs, Jr. of Tyler, Texas. 5 Grandchildren: William Derek Lewis, and William Ashley Lewis, both of Greenville, South Carolina, Tracey Sheats of Columbus, Ga., Jill Arnold of Auburn, Alabama, and Kasey Willis of Columbus, Ga.; 3 Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces, Nephew, Friends, and Other Relatives.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 11, 2016, at 11:00 A. M., at Sand Hill Baptist Church, with Rev. William Ashley Lewis officiating. The Interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Oxford will be placed in the church, Monday morning at 10:00 A. M. to lie in state, until the funeral hour.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements.
