Martha B. Evans, age 88, of Douglas, GA passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Manor House following an extended illness. Mrs. Evans was born on December 3, 1927, in Douglas, GA to the late Ralph Waldo Griffin and Mamie Eliza Baird Griffin.
Survivors include: her two sons, Rowan B. Evans, IV of Douglas, GA and Ralph (Jerrie) Evans of Douglas, GA; daughter, Carol (Danny) Maley of Douglas, GA; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.B. “Bunny” Evans.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 15, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrews Anglican Church with Rev. John Commins officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery.
