Wendel Wright, age 64, of Axson, GA passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Wright was born on March 18, 1952, in Nicholls, GA to the late Ethridge Lock Wright, Sr. and Grace Jones Wright.
Survivors include: his wife, Janice Marie Wright of Axson, GA; three daughter, Carol (Rickey) Seitz of Patterson, GA, Wendy (George) Wright of Denton, GA, and Shirley Royals of Pearson, GA; son, Jerry (Joann) Cooper of Axson, GA; two brothers, Ethridge (Sharon) Wright of Douglas, GA and Clarence (Eleanor) Wright of Douglas, GA; three sisters, Judy (Robert) Anderson of Douglas, GA, Sally (Herman) Rollins of Nicholls, GA, and Wendy (Austin) Lloyd of Nicholls, GA; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Chaney officiating.
