Vivian Lucille Bailey, age 79, of Douglas, GA passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Bailey was born on October 26, 1936, to the late Dennis Stone and Vivian Jackson Stone.

Survivors include: her two daughters, Gwendolyn (Ronnie) Wiggins of Douglas, GA and Paula Denise (Keith) Askew of Atlanta, GA; son, Tommy Ray (Cindy) Bailey of Douglas, GA; brother, J.J. Stone of Ambrose, GA; four sisters, Lynette Story of Douglas, GA, Barbara Lee of Douglas, GA, Brenda Harper of Douglas, GA, and Lorene Welch of Ambrose, GA; six grandchildren, Scott Wiggins, Brandi Carter, Joshua Askew, Jennifer Askew, Paula Higgins, and Matthew Bailey; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Paul Bailey.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at College Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Mercer and Rev. Philip Corbean officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
