The South Georgia BBQ & Outdoor Festival is fast approaching, and we need you!  Event organizers are seeking energetic volunteers to help before and during the festival.

“As with any event of this size, we are seeking willing and able citizens to sign up to volunteer to help with this event,” says Georgia Henderson, Public Information Director.  “We need the support of the community to help make this event function and run smoothly.  Any amount of time that someone will be willing to donate will be greatly appreciated.”

Volunteers are needed in several areas and at different times.  Available times are as follows: Sept. 8, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sept. 9, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Sept. 10, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Wynetta Bolder at 912-389-3405 or email wbolder @ cityofdouglas.com or Judy Carter at 912-389-3494 or jcarter @ cityofdouglas.com.
