Mrs. Juanita Nettles Pitts, age 92, of Douglas, passed away Monday afternoon, August 15, 2016 at Shady Acers Health and Rehab, following an extended illness. Mrs. Pitts was born October 29, 1923 to the late Johnny Hamilton and the late Linnie Davis Nettles.

Survivors include: 2 Children, Colie (Pat) Pitts of Douglas, GA and Sherrill (Dan) Miller of Douglas, GA; 7 Grandchildren, Sherri (Michael) Berry of Douglas, GA, Jess Miller of Savannah, GA, Chad (Maggie) Pitts of Roswell, GA, Rebecca (Booker) Pruitt of Atlanta, GA, Sandra Pitts of Savannah, GA, Jodi (Tim) Moody of Savannah, GA, and Travis (Genevieve) Pitts of Raleigh, NC; 11 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces Nephews and other Relatives.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning, August 18, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at Central Baptist Church, with Rev. Wes Brown and Rev. Richard Nettles officiating. Mrs. Pitts will be placed in the church Thursday morning at 10:00 A.M., to lie in state until the funeral hour. The Interment will follow in the Central Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
