Ineva Spivey Harper , age 89, of Nicholls, GA passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Harper was born on February 2,1927 in Douglas, GA to the late William Spivey and Gladys Harper Spivey.

Survivors include: her two sons, Michael W. Harper and Ramon (Missy) Harper both of Nicholls, GA; daughter, Debra (John) Todd of Nicholls, GA; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; three sisters, Frances Harper of Brunswick, GA, Janell (Quinton) Paulk of West Green, GA, and Willadean (Judy) Gurley of Douglas, GA; four brothers, R.W. (Earlene) Spivey of Douglas, GA, Larry (Patsy) Spivey of Nicholls, GA, Carroll (Joann) Spivey of Nicholls, GA, and Wilton (Bet) Spivey of Douglas, GA; special friends, Rachael Sutton and Mary Durance; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cecil Harper, Sr.; two sons, James Cecil Harper, Jr. and Marshall Harper; two brothers, Lee Spivey and Thurman Spivey; and a sister, Ernestine Dupree .

The family will receive friends Friday, August 19, 2016, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Chatterton Holiness Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Chaney, Rev. Harold Barnes, and Rev. John Carver officiating. Interment will follow at Chatterton Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
