Douglas city officials stated today that, due to this weekend’s South Georgia BBQ & Outdoor Festival, a portion of Bryan Street will be closed Thursday through Saturday.  City Hall and Douglas Housing Authority customers may enter and exit via Pearl Avenue for business on Thursday. All other businesses located on East Bryan Street may be accessed from Gaskin Avenue or Coffee Street.

City Hall and the Douglas Parks & Recreation Department will be closed on Friday, Sept. 9.

South Georgia BBQ & Outdoor Festival parking will be limited at Central Square Complex this weekend, and attendees are encouraged to utilize public parking located throughout downtown.  Limited handicap parking is also available at Central Square.

Additional offsite parking is available at the vacant lot behind the Douglas Police Department and the First Baptist Church parking lot.  From these two sites, shuttle service will be provided during festival hours.
