The GBI’s Douglas Regional Office was requested Friday by the Lakeland Police Department to investigate the shooting death of 32-year-old Willis Lamar Flintroyal.

According to authorities, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers with the Lakeland Police Department responded to 75 E. Peeler Ave. in reference to a shooting.  Officers found Flintroyal suffering from a gunshot wound when they arrived.  He was transported to South Georgia Medical Center in Lakeland and was later pronounced dead.

Another victim, 32-year-old Schalonda Beatrice Johnson, was also transported to SGMC in Lakeland with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

While at the Peeler Ave. location, officers heard gunshots and responded to the area of MLK Dr. and 8th St. Upon arrival, 20-year-old Lewis S. Geddie was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Geddie was transported to SGMC in Valdosta.

Officials state Flintroyal’s body was transported to the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office for Autopsy.

The investigation is active and ongoing, authorities said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the GBI Region 4 Douglas office at (912) 389-4103 or the Lakeland Police Department at (229) 482-3300.
