Mr. Gerald Kenneth Faulkner, age 77, of Nicholls, GA passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Faulkner was born on November 15, 1938, in Ocilla, Georgia to the late Lonnie Faulkner and the late Odessa Harper Faulkner.
Survivors include: Daughter, Kathy Lynn Hersey of Nicholls, GA and Son: Mike (Loretta) Faulkner of Nicholls, GA; Sister: Laverne Martin of Douglas, GA. Six Grandchildren: Jackie (Kevin) Jenks of Nicholls, GA; Shantae (Norman) Dockery of Broxton, GA; Casey Hersey of Nicholls, GA; Kandace Hersey of Nicholls, GA; Keegan Curtis (Cassie) Faulkner of Douglas, GA and Kerrigan Elizabeth Davis of Nicholls, GA; and Seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Thurston Faulkner, Dorman Faulkner and Lamar Faulkner.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Holiness Baptist Camp Ground with the Rev. Jeff Martin and the Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow at the Douglas City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, September 12, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
