Barbara Ann McQuaig, age 68, of Douglas, GA passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016, at residence following a brief illness. Ms. McQuaig was born on February 18, 1948, in Douglas, GA to the late Woodrow Courson and Vera Sapp Courson.

Survivors include: her two sons, Matt (Lisie) McQuaig of Pearson, GA and Noah (Brenda) Brownell of Lakeland, FL; brother, Doug Courson of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Jean Clemons of Douglas, GA and Margie McGee of Glenwood, GA; four grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Graham, and three brothers, Mark Courson, Monroe Courson and Tommy Courson.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 P.M. at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Bounds officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
