Mrs. Ethel Carter Musgrove, age 94 of Ambrose, GA, passed away Monday afternoon at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Musgrove was born September 17, 1922 to the late Jim Carter and the late Sarah Tanner Carter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Raymond Musgrove; 2 Sons, Jerry Musgrove and Wallace Musgrove; 1 Daughter, Lutrell M. Lott; 1 Son-In-Law, Donald Spell; 1 Grand Son, Carlton Eugene Musgrove; 1 Grand daughter, Syanne Musgrove; 5 Brothers, Troy Carter, Jimmy Carter, Barry Carter, Kermit Carter and Ray Carter; and 2 Sisters, Janell C. Douglas and Olean C. Dennison.
Survivors include: 5 Sons: Paul (Alice) Musgrove of West Green, GA, Willis (Becky) Musgrove of Douglas, GA, Floyd (Shirley) Musgrove and Bill (Lou Annie) Musgrove both of Nicholls, GA, Carlton Musgrove of Cullman, AL; 2 Daughters: Irma Lou Spell of Nicholls, GA, Wanda Gail (Steve) Beecher of Ambrose, GA; 1 Son-In-Law: Teddy Lott of Douglas, GA; 3 Brothers: Noah Carter of Alma, GA , Paul (Wylene) Carter of Pearson, GA, Donald (Nell) Carter of Jacksonville, FL; 1 Sister: Betty Jo (Clinton) Westberry of Baxley, GA; 21 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren and 13 Great Great Grandchildren. A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Other Relatives.
Funeral Services will be Thursday afternoon, September 22, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. at Corner Stone Church of God of Prophecy 2054 Highway 32 East Douglas, GA with Rev. Matthew McEachern and Rev. Paul Anderson officiating. Mrs. Musgrove will be placed in the church at 12:00 Noon to lie in state until the funeral hour. The Interment will follow in Roxie Mae Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Ricketson Funeral Home.
