Do you have a favorite dish in Douglas?  If so, now is the time to show your love and nominate that dish in Explore Georgia’s 100 Plates Locals Love contest.  In June 2016, Tomato Pie from Douglas’ local restaurant, J & D Café, was one of the 100 best dishes recognized for Georgia.

“We have a variety of good eats in our area,” says Georgia Henderson, Public Information Director.  “It would be great to see another great dish from Douglas listed on the 100 Plates Locals Love list.”

According to the Exploregeorgia.org website, nominations will be collected online in October 2016 and evaluated by a panel of judges, who will select the final list of 100 Plates Locals Love.  The list will be published in 2017 on exploregeorgia.org and in the official state culinary guide.  Nominations are not votes.  Individuals may submit several nominations, but multiple nominationsof the same dish will not guarantee a place on the final list.

Let’s show our love for our local dishes!
