Officials with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office provided the following information regarding the recent arrests of several individuals on varying charges including burglary and motor vehicle theft:
Sept. 23 – Deputies from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1445 W. Walker St., also known as Town and Country Mobile Home Park, after a reported burglary. As deputies and detectives arrived at the scene and began to canvas the neighborhood, some viable leads were quickly obtained and some property was located immediately in the same area. Detectives followed the information to just inside Irwin County and back to the Fountain Inn of Douglas where the perpetrator and remaining property was located. As a result, Carlos Bardomaniano (23) of Douglas was arrested and charged with first degree burglary.
Sept. 23 – The Sheriff’s Office was notified of a residential burglary outside of Broxton, on the Fitzgerald Hwy. As detectives became familiar with all aspects of the case, they were able to recover a majority of the missing property at a location in the Oak Park area. Three offenders were located and apprehended: James Hester (33) of Douglas, Amanda McAllister (31) of Douglas, and Ollie Holder (35) of Douglas.
Sept. 25 – Sheriff’s office officials arrested and charged Johnny Taylor (43) of Nicholls with criminal trespass. Taylor ignored no trespassing signs and was exploring the area when he was confronted by the property owner.
Oct. 4 – While engaged in a traffic stop involving Ryan Dexter Smith (26) of Douglas on 221 North, officers felt Smith was not being truthful about the ownership of the truck. A deputy made contact with the vehicle owner and learned the vehicle, a 2009 Ford F-150 was stolen from a residence in West Green. The truck was returned to the owner, and Smith was transported to jail and charged with theft by taking of a motor vehicle.
