Bernice Music Story, age 76, of Douglas, Ga passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Story was born on May 29, 1940, in Douglas, Ga to the late Lawton Music and Ollie Holton Music.
Survivors include: her two daughters, Angie (Greg) Griffis of Douglas, Ga and Debbie (Wendell) Smith of Douglas, Ga; son, Robert Story of Douglas, Ga; four grandsons, Chris Griffis of Douglas, Ga, Justin Kerns of Houston, Tx, Brandon Kerns of Houston, Tx, and Dewayne Story of Douglas, Ga; five granddaughters, Kayla Morris of Douglas, Ga, Kelli Griffis of Douglas, Ga, Jennifer Deen of Douglas, Ga, Nikki Huffaker of Snipesville, Ga, Lynn Chaney of Douglas, Ga; five great-grandsons; seven great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Story; daughter, Rhonda Kerns; grandson, Ryan Story; mother, Ollie Holton Music; and father, Lawton Music.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 21, 2016 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m at Sims Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Carver Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Music officiating.
