Mrs. Eleanor “Doodle” Hattaway Joiner, age 80, of Nicholls passed away late Monday evening, October 24, 2016, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born December 2, 1935 to the late Harvell Hattaway and the late Lizzie Hart Hattaway. Mrs. Joiner was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer Joiner; a daughter, Peggy Johnson; a sister, Orbin Harden; a brother, Edward Hattaway; a grandchild, Jeffrey Taylor and a special brother-in-law, E. D. Moore. She was a member of Parkview Calvary Holiness Church.

Survivors include: 5 Daughters: Judy (Jerome) Taylor of Alma, GA, Debbie (Troy) Highsmith of Wray, GA, Becky (Ronnie) Chaney of Nicholls, GA, Sandy Joiner and Cathy Joiner both of Nicholls, GA.; 6 Grandchildren: Jim Taylor of Alma, GA, Spencer Highsmith of Wray, GA, Travis Chaney of Nicholls, GA, Trent (Laci) Chaney of Nicholls, GA, Cody (Wendy) Johnson of West Green, GA, and Lacy (Seth) Murphy of Broxton, GA.; 1 Great Grandchild: Levi Chaney of Nicholls, GA.; 3 Sisters: Oweeda Moore and Nadine (Monroe) Foster, both of Nicholls, GA, and Margie (Emmett) Griffin of Bartow, Florida. 2 Brothers: Jimmy (Faye) Hattaway of Surrency, GA, Donnie (Dorothy) Hattaway of Brunswick, GA. ; Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Other Relatives.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at 3:00 P. M. at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating and Rev. Herschell Smith. The Interment will follow in Satilla Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening, October 25, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements.
