Mrs. Margaret Rowell Carver, age 89, of Douglas passed away Tuesday evening, October 25, 2016, at Twin Oaks Facility in Alma, following an extended illness. She was born June 14, 1927 to the late William H. Rowell and the late Mary Frances Fussell Rowell.

Mrs. Carver, a native of Jeff Davis County, however, she had lived in the Coffee County area for most of her life. She was a retired employee of Crider’s Poultry and Swift, Inc. She was also preceded in death by her Husband, Willie E. Carver, 2 Sons, Robert Earl Carver and William Henry Carver, Sr., 2 Daughters, Linda Joyce Caudill and Katherine Sue Deep.

Mrs. Carver was of the Holiness Baptist and Church of God Faiths.

Survivors include: Children: Virginia (Angelo) Miragliotta of yulee, Florida, Gerald (Ann) Carver and Rickie Elliott Carver both of Fitzgerald, Ga., Randy Duane (Tina) Carver of Nicholls, Ga.,Calvin Carver of Douglas,Ga.; 1 Sister: Mildred Register of Interlachen, Florida. 13 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Other Relatives.

Funeral Services will be Friday, October 28, 2016, at 2:00 P. M., at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home, with Rev. Darrell Smith officiating. The Interment will follow in the Chatterton Grove Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M. at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
