Ellene Francis Davis Paulk, age 99, resident of Coffee County, Ambrose community, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at her residence following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Davis, brother, Elmer Davis, sisters, Eloise Huff and Ruby Martin. She was the wife of the late Felder Paulk.

She is survived by her son, Jordan Ashley (Faye) Paulk; three grandchildren, Jordan Ashley (Charlotte) Paulk, Jr., Bradford Paulk, and Natalie Paulk (Archie) Miller; four great-grandchildren, Jordan Ashley Paulk, III, Andrew Paulk, Anna Miller, and Rhett Miller; sister, Genelda Courson; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Paulk was a charter member of the Douglas Pilot Club, Calvary Baptist Church, and Westwood Baptist Church. She served as the secretary and treasurer for many years at Calvary Baptist Church. She was a Pink Lady at Coffee Regional Medical Center for 22 years. She also worked at the Douglas Enterprise as a secretary and proof-reader for 15 years. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Westwood Baptist Church.

Service for Mrs. Paulk will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Westwood Baptist Church with Rev. George Carroll Paulk and Rev. Carroll Carver officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
