Aubrey Batten, age 75, of Ambrose, Ga. passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2016, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Batten was born on June 2, 1941, in Pearson, Ga to the late Elisha Batten and Myrle Baker Batten.

Survivors include: his wife, Sandra Faye Batten of Ambrose, Ga.; daughter, Kimberlee Batten Smith of Ambrose, Ga.; three brothers, Ralph Batten of St. Marys, Ga., Clinton Batten of Pearson, Ga., and Herman Batten of Tifton, Ga.; sister, Mildred Deen of St. Marys, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Aubrie Anna Smith, Alix Troupe Batten, Kylie Jo Batten, Philip Daniel Smith, Maggie Rae Batten, Lauren Elizabeth Smith, and Anna Evans; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by his two sons, Aubrey Batten, Jr. and Kyle Batten; sister, Alice Marie White; and brother, Walter Batten.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m at Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Walt Deloach and Elder Phillip Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
