Storytelling with Miss Julie at Christmas at the Pond, General Coffee State Park in Nicholls
Come join us at Christmas at the Pond at General Coffee State Park on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 5 to 9 p.m. as Miss Julie, Children’s and Young Adult Librarian, reads traditional Christmas stories. There will be storytelling, hot cocoa, cookies, and other fun holiday festivities! Come to any of our branches and check out a park pass for free parking

Audio Spot Auditions for Children and Teens Ages 9-18 years of age!
Come and audition for a public service announcement to possibly be played on the radio! Auditions will be held at all locations in Douglas, Broxton, Ambrose, Pearson, Willacoochee, and Nicholls throughout the year! Please call Miss Julie at (912) 384-4667 ext. 222 to schedule an appointment at any of our locations. A permission slip must be signed by a parent/guardian before auditioning if under 18 and given to Miss Julie. NEW! Douglas STEAM for School-Age Children Program
Come and join the fun with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) as the group works on a project for each child incorporating different aspects of STEAM each month for six months. Lots of fun and hands-on experiences! Come to our first meeting and see what we will be working on. This program will run from November 2016-April 2017.
December Meeting: Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 12 to 1 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room at the Douglas/Coffee County Public Library. We will be making Gingerbread Houses.

New! Pearson Pre-Teen & Teen Architecture Program
Come and learn about different types of architecture and create one! There will be various stations including a specific architectural structure to create, build your own, and art! This is a great educational and interactive program for older students. This program will be held once a month for six months: October 2016-March 2017.
