Donald Lucian”D L ” Wildes, age 80, of Douglas, GA passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016, at his residence. Mr. Wildes was born on January 1, 1936, in Hazlehurst, Georgia to the late Arnold Bogan Wildes and Daisy Bell Benefield Wildes.
Survivors include: Wife: Lettie Mae Durden Wildes of Douglas, GA. Daughters: Wanda (Tad) Medders of Alma, GA, Gloria Mercer of Alma, GA, Donna (Mickey) McIntosh of Blackshear, GA, Teresa Carver of Hazlehurst, GA. Sons: Donald (Amanda) Wildes of Douglas, GA, David (Kara) Wildes of Cordele, GA. Sisters: Merle Thomas of Rossville, GA, Joyce Miles of Flinstone, GA.; Majorie Seekinger, Springfield, GA; Brothers: Laverne Wildes of Nicholls, GA, Roger Wildes of Douglas, GA. 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews Preceded by in death by: Father: Arnold Bogan Wildes, Mother: Daisy Bell Edenfield Wildes, and Brother: Kenneth Wildes.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Lone Hill Methodist Church with Rev. Mary Ann Braswell and Rev. Gregory Pope officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
