Linda Ellis Kight, age 66, of Broxton, GA passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016, at South Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Kight was born on December 29, 1949, in Douglas, GA to the late Dalton Floyd Ellis and Dorothy Alene Shrouder Ellis.

Survivors include: her husband, Ivey Lee “Plunkett” Kight, Sr. of Broxton, GA; daughter, Cindy Smith Matthews of Pearson, GA; two sons, Ivey Lee Kight, Jr. of St. Johns, FL and Jeff Kight of Douglas, GA; brother, Herman Ellis of Douglas, GA; five grandchildren, Jordan Matthews, Bradon Kight, Lauren Kight, Ruby Grace Kight, and Gavin Lee Kight; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Reedy Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Den Weniger and Rev. Gary Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Reedy Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
