Geraldine Cauley Hill Veal, age 82, of Ambrose, GA passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Veal was born on May 29, 1934, in Ambrose, GA to the late Nead Cauley and Ethel Merritt Cauley. Mrs. Veal was a charter member and oldest member of Calvary Mission Holiness Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her three sons, Lamar Hill of Douglas, GA, Rex (Gail) Hill of Ambrose, GA, and Troy (Kim) Veal of Ambrose, GA; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Garon (Jimmy) Smith of Broxton, GA; two sister-in-laws, Nellie Cauley of Ambrose, GA and Geraldine Hill Hersey of Douglas, GA; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, C.A. Veal, Jr. and Wendell Hugh Hill; brother, Gene Edward Cauley; sister, Geneva Cauley Carter; and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Lott Hill.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 19, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Mission Holiness Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Chaney and Rev. Dody Hersey officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Holiness Baptist Church.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
