The yearly bowling party for the youth of the Hahira Sheriffs’ Youth Home was held Sunday, December 18, at the Rockin’ Roll Bowlin’ center in Douglas.
Forty youth and adults from the home enjoyed the event, which was sponsored by the Douglas Kiwanis Club. Donations from the Kiwanis Club, the Citizens Christian Academy Key Club, and Sheriff Doyle Wooten provided Christmas gift cards. Free bowling was provided by Rockin’ Roll Bowlin’, and a meal was sponsored by the Kiwanis Club.
A number of personnel from the Kiwanis Club helped with the event and provided dessert. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, and the youth and adults from the home went out of their way to show their appreciation.
Thanks to all those who helped and donated, and a special thanks to the Rockin’ Roll Bowlin’ personnel who worked hard to make the event so successful.
