Mrs. Gwendolyn Royal Lott, age 83, of Ambrose, GA passed away on Monday, December 19, 2016, at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Lott was born on July 5, 1933, to the late Alfred R. Royal and the late Allie Irene Royal. She was a lifelong resident of Ambrose, GA. She lived most of her life as a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Francis Lott; two sons, Ricky Lott of Ambrose, GA and Carey Lott of Douglas, GA; three brothers, Donald Royal, Julian Royal, and Milton Royal all of Ambrose, GA; two sisters, Margaret Warren of Douglas, GA and Jeannelle Tanner of Goldenrod, FL.

Survivors include: her daughter, Julie Roberson and husband Tommy of Ambrose, GA; son, Eric Lott and wife Stacey of Ambrose, GA; sister, Helen Senseng of Warm Springs, GA; brother, Bonwell Royal and wife Betty of Douglas, GA; two daughter-in-laws, Lou Lott and Pam DiGiacomo; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Carroll Carver and Buddy Carver officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Union Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 977 New Hope Church Rd, Ambrose, GA 31512 or to Bethany Hospice, 101 Bowens Mill Rd, Suite E, Douglas, GA 31533.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
