Maxine Winters Moore, age 93, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at Shady Acres following an extended illness. Mrs. Moore was born on March 6, 1923, in Douglas, GA to the late Nathaniel Winters and Hester Pritchard Winters.
Survivors include: her daughter, Marian (Billy) Mizell of Douglas, GA; son Roy (Dianne) Moore of Ambrose, GA; daughter-in-law, Patsy Moore of Douglas, GA; special friend, Charlie Stone of Douglas, GA; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Royce Moore and son, Keith Moore.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m at Sims Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Douglas City Cemetery with Pastor Gregory Pope officiating.
