Mr. Johnnie Wayne Floyd, age 65, of Douglas passed away early Wednesday morning, December 28, 2016, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, GA following a short illness. Mr. Floyd was born January 30, 1951 to the late Vernon T. Floyd and Dora Pearl Wooten Floyd. Mr. Floyd was preceded in death by his father, Vernon T. Floyd and 2 brothers: Michael Floyd and Neil Floyd. He retired from Golden Poultry after 17 years of service as a Fabrication Machinist.

Survivors include: 5 Children: Shannon Hay of Canton GA , Johnnie Ryan Floyd, Tara Floyd Harden, Brian Scott Ward, and Amanda Kay Floyd all of Douglas, GA; Mother: Dora Pearl Wooten Floyd of Broxton, GA; Beloved Mother of the Children: Rhonda Kay Ward of Douglas, GA; 2 Brothers: Vernon Floyd of Douglas, GA; David Floyd of Broxton, GA; 3 Sisters: Mary Loiselle of Ocala, FL, Sue Ellen Davis of Douglas, GA, Barbara Bowen of Broxton, GA; 14 Grandchildren. Several Nieces, Nephews and Other Relatives.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 31, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. at Douglas Gospel Assembly with Rev. Allen Peacock officiating. The interment will follow at Douglas Gospel Assembly Cemetery. Mr. Floyd will be placed in the church at 1:00 P.M. to lie in state until the funeral hour. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening, December 30, 2016, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
