Mrs. Willie Grace Fussell, age 79, of Ambrose, GA passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Haven Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida following a brief illness. She was known for dedication to God, her church home and her family. She was a member of Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church in Ambrose.

Willie Grace was born to the late Wilson Harper and Alda Vickers Harper of Wray, Georgia, a farmer and homemaker respectively, in Ocilla, Georgia, on November 20, 1937. Named for her father, she graduated from Irwin County High School and considered herself a proud Irwin Countian.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Huey Fussell; her sister, Mary Jo Thomas; and her parents. She is survived by her son, Hue (Vicki) Fussell of Ambrose, GA; her daughter, Mari Angela Fussell of Douglas, GA; her grandchildren, Andrea (Lee) Taylor, Kathy (Jason) Anderson, Chance Fussell and Anna Grace (Eddie) Lott; her brother, Austin (Christine) Harper; nine great-grandchildren and a host of special family friends, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m at Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Walt DeLoach and Elder Lee Chambers officiating with Andrea Taylor giving the Eulogy. Interment will follow at Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
