Charles Deen, age 68, of Douglas, GA passed away on Monday, January 23, 2014, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Deen was born on April 12, 1948, in Douglas, GA to the late James Albert Deen and Frances Leola Anderson Deen.

Survivors include: his two daughters, Michelle (Claude) Burkett and Angie (Johnny) Taylor both of Douglas, GA; two grandsons, Dillon Burkett and Dalton (Amber) Burkett both of Douglas, GA; four granddaughters, Tiffany Waters, Amanda Taylor, Marissa Shelton, and Loren Burkett all of Douglas, GA; three great-granddaughters, Haven Joyce, Addison Taylor and Camden Taylor all of Douglas, GA; sister, Brenda (J.J.) Stone of Wray, GA; two brothers, Wayne Deen of Douglas, GA and C.W. (Frannie) Deen of Douglas, GA; two aunts, Charlene Prescott of Broxton, GA and Lera Bell Merritt of Douglas, GA; sister-in-law, Joann Deen Vickers of Douglas, GA; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Deen; parents, Albert Deen and Leola Deen; and two brothers, James Deen and Michael Deen.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. John Carver officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
