An investigation into the suspected abuse of three juveniles led to the arrest of an Alma man Thursday, who now faces multiple battery, abuse, and drug-related charges.
Woodrow Joyner (47) has been charged with three counts of battery, three counts of cruelty to children – first degree, and one count of sale of a controlled substance.
Alma officials says Joyner’s arrest followed at least two separate incidents on prior dates involving the abuse of three juveniles, ages 2, 9, and 11.
Investigators determined alcohol was involved in the incidents, and authorities also discovered Joyner had been illegally selling pain pills.
