Satilla Regional Library will be holding the following programs during the month of February for children and teens. Come and join the fun at Satilla Regional Library!

Holiday Closings
Satilla Regional Library will be closed on Monday, Feb. 20, 2017 in observance of President’s Day.

Ongoing Programs

Audio Spot Auditions for Children and Teens Ages 9-18 years of age!

Come and audition for a public service announcement to possibly be played on the radio! Auditions will be held at all locations in Douglas, Broxton, Ambrose, Pearson, Willacoochee, and Nicholls throughout the year. Please call Miss Julie at (912) 384-4667 ext. 222 to schedule an appointment at any of our locations! A permission slip must be signed by a parent/guardian before auditioning if under 18 and given to Miss Julie.

Permission slips are available at each branch location or by going online here.

Board Games, Cards, and Puzzles for Children and Teens
All branches include an assortment of board games, cards, and puzzles that can be played at any time. Come and check one out to use at each location.

Children’s Programming

Story and Craft Program at all locations!

Douglas: Mondays at 3:30 p.m.

Broxton: Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m.

Ambrose: Tuesdays at 4:45 p.m.

Pearson: Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m.

Willacoochee: Wednesdays at 4:45 p.m.

Nicholls: Thursdays at 3:30 p.m.

Douglas STEAM for School-Age Children Program
Come and join the fun with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) as the group works on a project for each child incorporating different aspects of STEAM each month for six months. Lots of fun and hands-on experiences! Come and see what we will be working on. This program will run from November 2016-April 2017.

February Meeting: Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room at the Douglas/Coffee County Public Library.

Kids Choice Movies

Pearson: Friday, February 3, 2017 at 4:30 p.m.

Willacoochee: Friday, February 4 and 18 at 12:30 p.m.

Kids Wii Gaming

Broxton: Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
              Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 3:30-4:30 pm.

Pearson: Friday, February 17, 2016 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
              Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Willacoochee: Friday, February 24, 2017 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

TEEN EVENTS

Douglas Pre-Teen & Teen Architecture Program
Come and learn about different types of architecture and create one!  There will be various stations including a specific architectural structure to create, build your own, and art!! This is a great educational and interactive program for older students. This program will be held once a month for six months: November 2016-April 2017.

Teen Advisory Group Meeting in Douglas!
Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room at the Douglas-Coffee County Public Library

Please come and join the fun as teens meet together to help plan young adult programming, help recommend young adult books for the library’s collection, plan fun teen parties, and much more! Refreshments will be served.
