Ronnie McClelland, age 80, of Broxton, GA passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. McClelland was born on April 06, 1936 in Douglas, GA to the late Warren Preston McClelland and Eula Lee Strickland McClelland. Mr. McClelland worked for the Postal Service for 40 plus years.

Survivors include: his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Khristy McClelland of Jacksonville, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Scott Smith of Valdosta, GA; five grandchildren, Kelly (Walton) Gibbons, Andrew Smith, Tyler Smith, Amelia McClelland, and Kirsten McClelland; two brothers, Earnest (Patsy) McClelland of Thomasville, GA and Sidney McClelland of Phoenix, AZ; two nieces, Stephanie Spitzer and Shannon McClelland; and one nephew, Rowan McClelland. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy McClelland.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Shep Johnson and Robert Hurst officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
