A Douglas, Georgia native, Sarah Cowart, was featured on HGTV’s hit reality show House Hunters.  The State College transplant was part of the episode titled “Single Gal Seeks Single Family Home in Pennsylvania” which aired Feb. 20, 2017 at 8 P.M.

“Being a part of House Hunters was a once in lifetime experience. I am thankful to be a part of a great show and appreciate the support of my family and friends,” states Sarah.

The episode, which features Sarah, is about the young professional who is seeking her first home in the State College area.  She is searching for a house with a yard and no shared walls but her friend thinks she should settle in a low-maintenance townhome. Her Real Estate Agent, Kristin O’Brien, takes her on a tour of three homes and Sarah must decide which home will best suit her needs.

Sarah is a graduate from both Auburn University and Belmont University. She previously was employed at the University of South Alabama located in Mobile, Alabama.  Although she has been in State College for less than two years, this is not her first experience living in the area.  Prior to her position at South Alabama, she was an Academic Counselor at Penn State.  Ultimately, she decided to return to State College and take on a greater role within the Morgan Academic Center.  After only a short time in her new position, she knew State College was where she wanted plant her roots and begin the exciting process of home ownership.

The decision to become a homeowner is never easy for anyone.  With her faith, family, and friends at her side, Sarah enlisted the help of Kristin to explore her home-buying options.  Holding tight to her South Georgia roots, Sarah sought to find a home that incorporated her new life in State College while keeping the feel of warm, Southern hospitality.  Ultimately, Sarah was able to do just that and could not be happier in her new townhome.
