Coffee County Schools are joining the Georgia Department of Education’s new state-wide initiative to Shake It Up in School Nutrition. The initiative was created to enhance the flavor and improve the perception of school meals by focusing on three key areas; tasty meals, friendly cafeterias and happy schools.

Coffee County Schools are Shaking It Up with tasty meals by: conducting student taste tests, offering a seasoning bar in select schools, including Georgia grown and/or farm to school food items on the menu, offering a variety of colors of fruits and vegetables, serving delicious attractive meals every day.

Coffee County Schools are also Shaking It Up with friendly cafeterias by: decorating the cafeteria and/or serving lines in an inviting manner, providing nutrition education tours, lessons and/ or handouts.

Coffee County is creating happy schools by: listening and incorporating customer feedback, encouraging students to make choices, fostering a positive environment.

We invite you to join us for breakfast and/or lunch-please contact your child(s) school to get exact serving time for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast meals cost $1.25 and lunch meals cost $3.
