John D. Waters, age 70, of West Green, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Bacon County Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Waters was born on August 8, 1946, in Chattanooga, TN to the late Dan Cecil Waters and Addie Mae Cates Waters. Survivors include: his wife, JoAnn Waters of West Green, GA; daughter, Tonya Cothern of Nicholls, GA; granddaughter, Audry Cothern of Douglas, GA.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Lee and Rev Walter James officiating. Interment followed at Lone Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
