Jo Ann Kibbey, age 80, of Douglas, GA passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017, at Southern Senior Living following an extended illness.

Mrs. Kibbey was born on June 29, 1936, in Wray, GA to the late Ernest Vickers and Margaret Royal Vickers. Survivors include: her daughter, Dawn (Steve) Wight of Douglas, GA; sister, Lillie Topper of Albany, GA; three grandchildren, Trey Meeks of San Diego, CA, Thad Meeks of Edwardsville, IL, and Tiffany Meeks of Tampa, FL; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kibbey; son, Cam Thomas; and sister, Jean Benefield.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Interment followed at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
