In preparation for the 2017-2018 school year, the Coffee County School System held a teacher job fair on Saturday, March 25, in the auditorium of Coffee Middle School. Administrators from the eight elementary schools, Coffee Middle School, George Washington Carver Freshman Campus, Coffee High, and directors of Special Services conducted informal interviews with interested teaching candidates. Kim Clayton, Director of Personnel and Public Relations, provided information to those who were interested in learning more about alternative routes to certification. The system was excited that nearly 100 people attended to either learn more about teaching or interview with the principals about securing a teaching job for the upcoming school year.

Making the job fair a success was a combined effort of many, and a special thanks is given to Sheila Cooper and the School Nutrition Department for providing refreshments and the art program of Coffee High School for creating the signs for each school.   The school district would also like to thank South Georgia State College and the City of Douglas for assisting with the promotion of the event.
