Don “Big Don” Edward Adams, Sr., age 51, of Douglas, Ga. passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Adams was born on January 15, 1966, to Wilma Lee Burch Adams and the late Jack Edward Adams. Survivors include: his wife, Brenda Kay Waldron Adams of Douglas, Ga.; two sons, Don Edward Adams, Jr. (girlfriend Ashleigh Johnson) of Douglas, Ga. and Bryant O’Shaunessy Adams (girlfriend Ashlyn Roberson) of Douglas, Ga.; one daughter, Emilee Jacklyn Adams (boyfriend Tony Hunt) of Douglas, Ga.; one grandson, Ashton Brooks Adams of Douglas, Ga.; mother, Wilma Lee Adams of Douglas, Ga.; one sister, Margie Lynn Velardi (husband Tony Velardi) of Douglas, Ga.; grandparents, the late Aaron and Mattie Mae Adams of Douglas, Ga. And the late Willie Sr. and Odessa Burch of West Green, Ga. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles whom he loved and a beloved Aunt Faye Cady Adams of Douglas, Ga.; a special father and mother-in-law, Gene and Naomi Waldron of Douglas, Ga. and dearly loved his extended Waldron family; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

The funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Unity Ministries with Rev. Joseph Cochran and Rev. Daniel Smith officiating. Interment followed at Roxie Mae Church Cemetery. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
