James ‘Jimmy’ Lewis

James “Jimmy” Lewis, age 67, of Broxton, GA passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017, at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Lewis was born on June 26, 1949, in Broxton, GA to the late Willie Milton Lewis and Jean Clinnard Lewis. Survivors include: his wife, Wanda Lewis of Broxton, GA; son, Jamie (Leslie) Lewis of Springfield, GA; sister, Judy (Wendell) Sturgis of Ambrose, GA; stepmother, Freddie Lewis of Douglas, GA; stepbrother, Wayne (Melinda) Tanner of Douglas, GA; sisters-in-law, Lynette Pridgen and Virginia Pridgen; four nieces, Jana Grizzard, Alicia Schramm, Crystal Brown, and Michelle Tanner; and four nephews, Jonathan Christian, Frank Register, Jonathan Tanner, and Jason Tanner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Jean Lewis; and grandparents, Jewitt and Jannie Lewis and Sam and Jewell Clinnard.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Reedy Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Den Weniger and Glenda Courson officiating. Interment followed at Reedy Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
