Coffee County’s new educational center, The Learning Coop, will be holding its grand opening on Tuesday, May 9 at 4:00 p.m. This event will include camp registration, sign-up for summer boxes, and a chance to meet “the chicks.” There will be door prizes and refreshments. The Learning Coop is owned by local educators: Tammy Bennett, Shelly Lott, and Jaime Taylor.
Summer educational day camps such as Spy School, Mad Scientist, STEAM camp, and Camp-Read-A lot will be offered throughout the month of June. The center will also offer Saturday camps such as Kid’s Cooking Club, Exercise and Nutrition for Kids, and Crafts at the Coop. Girl Power Camps will be offered for girls in 3rd-9th grades on Mondays this summer. Many other services and products including Summer Learning Boxes, Teacher Boxes, Back-to-School Camps, Back-to-School Boxes, After School Reading Club, and After School Tutoring will be offered.
