Carol Overstreet Lindsey, age 76, of Newnan, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Ashley Glen Living Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Lindsey was born on August 3, 1940, in Douglas to the late Mr. and Mrs. Bill (Opal) Wall of Broxton, Georgia.
Survivors include: her husband, Don E. Lindsey of Newnan, Georgia; daughter, Lynn Solomon Meeks of Douglas, Georgia; son, Danny Overstreet of Peachtree City, Georgia; stepdaughter, Donna Lindsey Toepfer of Tucker, Georgia; two grandchildren, Ryan (Megan) Solomon of Gulnare, Colorado and Tyler Solomon of Macon, Georgia; great-granddaughter, Syndal Solomon of Gulnare, Colorado; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Broxton United Methodist Church, P.O. 166, Broxton, Georgia 31519 or Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road SW, Lilburn, GA 30047.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Broxton United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Broxton United Methodist Church with Rev. Elick Bullington and Rev. Gary Griffin officiating. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
